Newbie question

Hi,
I am new to this internet business world and i just started my ebay / launching my re-branded software business. Just wanna know how all you pros out there making $$$ on the internet and how long does it take. My goal is to make around $4k per month. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

well,it can take some time,but never give up,you could make a site to sell your products also or even sell here at DP, not only at Ebay

$4k per month with software is certainly do-able, though I've never handled re-branded software so I'm not sure how well that sells or how saturated the market is for what you're offering.

I've also never had much luck with software on eBay, but that could just be me not taking the time to test and tweak it either. In the past I just tried placing software titles on eBay with BIN prices of 20% off the normal selling price and the results were very low for me so I abandoned that outlet. I imagine someone who worked at it could do better than I did.

One question that jumps out at me here though is if you're dealing in re-branded software what are you offering that other's aren't? What will make customers buy from you over the other guys out there?

I'm a firm believer in the "build a better mousetrap" theory. If you're working with re-branded software titles that kind of limits you from making the products better than the competition's, so do you have a plan for addressing that? Maybe by dealing in bundle packages or something, like instead of selling 5 individual programs separately you might sell them together as a package deal if they're related.

That could give you a value offering to market from that didn't involve trying to compete on pricing.

you can hire some people to keep promoting your product at major forum and advertise it with adword

You need to diversify. In products, and traffic streams.

ebay is only one avenue. Have you thought about doing a product launch? That way you can stand out in a way that you cannot on eBay. Also, get involved in other forums besides this one and post your software in the special offers sections. Also, look at Affiliate programs like JV Alert, JV Seeker, and JV Network.

The whole key is getting eyeballs.
