    To put things in proper perspective - or NOT.

    The average Major League Baseball player now makes about 3 mil a year and only has to hit the ball 1 in 4 tries to stay in the league.

    The Average NBA player makes over 5 mil a year and only has to put the ball in the basket 4 out of 10 times.

    So what's the point? The point is it DOESN'T MATTER WHAT OTHER PEOPLE MAKE.

    But I will say that there are some good points made in the original post ... in particular the use of a single block of ads.

    Low $xxx,xxx on about 40-50 sites that we manage or have managed... since about 2003. Adsense is a great "hands-off" approach, but the revenue from carefully managing specific affiliate programs (at CJ, Performics, Linksynergy, etc) can be far more lucrative.. just requires a bit more effort.

    Adsense has so far paid me USD$16,362.60 from March 2006 .. Things are getting much better this year with more new strategies and change in proven effective ad placements being done on all the pages.
