SEO is for scam sites

I have the game figured out. The reason SEO is so difficult is becuase Google is looking for content. When you have crappy or ho hum content people will not be interested. if people are not interested SE are not interested. You can blog about your real estate or viagra all day long but unless you have figured out how
to create land out of air or fix ED permanently you have a huge uphill battle to get people to come to your site. If you have something unique you will not need to spam your site people will do it for you. I suggest you focus on creating a unique product rather than huff and blow about something every tom, dick and harry is doing. SEO is basically another name for spamming.

I tend to agree to a point.

There's a lot of SEO that can be done for a site without spamming it all over the internet. Quality content and a well optimized site (on-site SEO wise) are very good SEO things to do.

While spamming blog comments, stumpleupon, and countless other social-networking sites is very spammy, there's a lot to be done SEO wise that isn't

Ummm, I wouldn't say so. I think SEO has a lot to do with backlinks for sure (which i'm assuming is what you're referring to), but it also has a lot to do with simply having your website optomized properly so that search engine spiders read it properly.

Yes, good content is invaluable, but at the same time it's all about money... you gotta have some £££ and $$$ to promote your site...

Yes, on the internet everybody likes something for nothing, but in SEO (promotion!), you gotta be able to spent some money to get your site recognised...

Sure, there are always individual examples that disprove this, but on the whole cash is king...

SEO has nothing to do with scam sites, <atleast not always. Sites like mine are for learning purposes. My knowledge is another mans treasure. Why not spread my knowledge and allow SE's to find my site for others to get my knowledge quicker.

SEO is used by I think every webmaster with a brain?
Besides it's not a scam, look up my site I teach SEO and will gladly answer any question that is thrown at me, and if I don't know the answer I will find it for you.
And if you see my site I don't charge for Anything... other than the advertisements (which are free at the moment).

So you must be calling me a scammer yet I don't ask for anything in return in my site.

Isn't one of the aims of good SEO to optimise the content, i.e. make the content good.

It depends on how you want to get the results, and in how much time.

SEO should optimize content, but scam sites are keyword-optimized, hence obtaining enough keyword density to get Google indexing them among the top results for a query.

Keyword density alone won't see sites ranking well for competitive keywords...

It might work for keyword nobody uses to do a search but for $$$$ making terms there is much more needed ......much more!!!

I thought long and hard about commenting, but decided most of what I wanted to say, has been said. Now me writing this, is it spam or content?

Seo is fairly simple but to get your site up there you do need to put some work in.

i do not agree. you need SEO for all kind of sites, specially sites that are intended to make money online (which is what we are all interested in this forum). no matter how good a sie is and how informational it is, no one is gonna know about it and link to you unless you get the words across. thats where marketing and SEO comes into play.

    Heres my thoughts..

SEO is easy. It's just knowing what to do in the right sequences.

Maybe your just crap at SEO and find it hard?

SEO is not for scam sites. But most spam sites are created only for SEO.
