Getting my account application accepted

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by ct2k7, May 4, 2008.

I applied for an Adsense account over 1 month ago, possibly two. Anyway, last week I found out that the previous owner of the site also used Adsense and got the account banned/disabled.

I think this is going to have an affect on my application :( What should I do?

How would that work if I'm running a forum, which has a blogging extension?

If the previous owner of the site has been banned for his/her Adsense account, rather than the site itself, then there should have no negative effect on your application.

Thanks :) but should an application really take that long? I've heard it's not too uncommon.

+EDIT: How do I know if a site has been banned?

The best way is to create an account at blogger.com and add several good articles as an initial posts then apply for adsense.

i would think that google is aware that lots of sites trade hands.
they may look at the other things to make sure your not that other person.
put any ad code on the domain or use an adsense preview tool.
    http://www.iwebtool.com/adsense_preview
ads wont show on a banned domain.

Basically use a new blogger blog, or setup a new site that is of reasonable quality in order to apply and get accepted with that, you only need the acceptance once to use adsense on all of your sites.

When applying to adsense imagine your trying to impress your partners parents for the first time. ;)

I'm not trying to bump this thread - but this is unnacceptable - I'm resorting to their Google Group for further assistance.

I find this ridiculous that there is a lack of human support, which only only available via their Group.
