I think that's a hard dream .. even successful marketers spend time on their computer not all day playing but i really wish you could achieve your dream

Your dream is possible, but easier if broadened. there are a ton of things to make money from on the internet. Adsense blows imho. I've had 100's of blogs. mainstream and adult, adult surpassed always better. I've also been robbed for over 8k in the past 2 months so... the more you broaden the more you get fucked, but you still have multiple places with money comin from. i sorta already have a dream im living no boss on my end

 

I quit my job 3 years ago, but found myself back in the work force... It's all too easy to get content and lazy at home in your underware...

Better make your online income stable first, diversify it! get a few more sources of income other than adsense stuff!

Am having a similar dream too, but am not targeting any amount rather than making more sources of income at the moment

 

I would start with creating your own products (info products) and have other affiliates sell for you... let them work hard for you, so you can be the real boss.

 

I did quit my job after making $500/day with adsense. It was great until i got banned and they wouldn't explain the reason so i could fix it. IT SUCKED. I also made money on clickbank so it wasn't so bad. I am working part time at my old job now and the rest online.

Have you ever thought about how Adsense works? Why would anyone pay you $0.20 for every click? Its because they make more than 20 cents from each visitor you send them. Why not cut out the middle man (Adsense) and stick to more profitable and secure affiliate business or sell your own product/service? Then you can quit your job without having to worry about getting banned from Adsense. You will have all sorts of streams of revenue...

I already have quit my job, its liberating but worrying too, ups and downs, dont do it for adsense though, that would be insane, dont do it if you have kids either, or a mortgage, unless your really bringing in big $.

 

Like everyone has said you should always ensure that you will be financially secure if the worst should happen.

Try to have your eggs in a few baskets.

It would be cool to make a decent living from the internet in the near future though

 

I couldn't agree more with you. Adsense is not constant. For two months in row I made 700+ with Adsense and about 150 with Kontera. This weekend I have big problems with my hosting company, totally lost the traffic and I'm making about $6-7 daily. I would never quit my daily job. Working as a physic teacher for 3-4 hours a day is not so hard for me, and the income is very good

 

I don't want to quit my job. I work fully as a seo/online marketer.

I love my job, I couldn't be happier with my own boss ME
