Consider getting a new host. There are many cheap ones who are fast as your site takes ages to load. The content is good and nicely layed out. The adverts blend in well I think.
The site looks great, I like the page layout and I like the way the header changes as the user navigates from one page to the other, the site has a unique look, good job.
As said above your site is very slow. Try Yahoo Web Hosting or Quick Host. Nice design. Good blend of colors. Ads are well placed. Rep Appreciated
Love the header image, though maybe I just like that kinda theme too. Some suggestions: 1. Post titles letter spacings might look better with a higher setting. Looks really tight right now. Makes me eyes squint sideways, is that even possible? 2. With too many types of font styling, it can cause a visual clutter to your design, ex. Grey Italics Font, Tight Black Serif Font (times new roman etc), small black arial font, standard google arial bold font, gappy blue arial menu font, etc... User login all caps white Times font... etc... Perhaps keeping with 2-3 font sizes/styles will clean it up a bit. 3. Also, the "PLACES" menu has the numbered list sticking out of the blue menu background. 4. Also suggest a slight increase in space between post image and post paragraph block, with an additional top padding for start of the post paragraph block to set it visually better with the image. Also your post image is not centred properly in the grey rectangular box. 5. Your copyright line stands out too much and takes away the attention from the main postings. Hope this helps!
