    I have a domain that has expired.

    I understand I can redeem it but obviously will have to pay a fee.

    Anyone done this before?

    It looks like the current redemption fee is $80. You just need to decide if the domain is worth it to you.

    I don't think it goes up to $80 until a month after it's expired, the first few weeks are either free or cheaper. You should just ask godaddy, their sales department is very quick to answer the phone (tech support is another matter!)
