Video Wordpress Plugins

I found a pretty nice video plugin for wordpress 2.0+ here, and it's pretty nice. However, the output automatically generates text links below the video to both the Google Video source and the plugin author's website.

I don't mind that too much, but would prefer one that doesn't require the extra links. Anyone know of something like that?

Google Video already gives you the code to use their videos on your pages, so you don’t need a plug-in - go into the video you want to use on Google Video and take a look on at the right side of the screen and click on Embed, this will give you the code you need.

I don't think that works out of the box with Wordpress, or it didn't when I tried with 2.02. Also, I want to be able to post Youtube clips and others. The plugin I mentioned does all of that, and makes it easy. But it posts those two links every time, which is annoying.

With regards to your problem, you can use the Flashifier plugin for Wordpress: Use Flashifier to encapsulate the code. Install and activate the plugin, then in your post where you want the movie to appear:

    [flash]MOVIE_URL,MOVIE_WIDTH,MOVIE_HEIGHT[/flash]

You can't copy and paste YouTube or Google Video's code directly into the template.

I started using wordpress 2.0 about 3 weeks ago and it just gives me problems. I’m starting to hate using it and my next blog will be with s9y. What I did to add a Youtube video was to deactivate their wysiwyg and inserted the code manually.
