is 30 visitors a day good traffic?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by peppy, May 1, 2008.

I've been working on my website for months and many hours each day, I got about 50 pages of articles rich in unique content and about 100 backlinks from pagerank 0-6 sites.

    What is considered good traffic?

    30 visitors a day, I don't think so...
I think you can do much better...

500 above visitors / day is what I consider as pretty decent traffic especially if most of them are targeted traffic...

I suggest you aim for 100 visitors a day first :) 30 for a couple of months work is not very good, however it always depends on a few different variables one being the websites niche.

Visitors per day means nothing. How much money have you made from your months of slaving away? If you have 30 visitors a day and 5 of them purchase a product that makes you $200 then you're doing okay. If you have 500 visitors a day and 1 person clicks on 1 ad that pays you a nickel you haven't done so well.

Over and over I see the same old thing. A Noob goes to a forum reads the "formula". Make a site, copy a bunch of articles, get a bunch of links. Then expects the money to start rolling in.

And what is always lost is the CUSTOMER!

Who is your customer? What can you offer them? Why should they buy from your site? Can you convince them to take action?

So 30 a day or 1,000 a day is meaningless without a plan to convert your traffic it simply doesn't matter how much traffic you have.

I agree the amount of traffic means nothing. I don't have the # of visiters as some websites but all of my traffic is targeted and my conversion rate and CTR is high.
Just keep working and the page impressions will increase.

i do not agree with you. visitor per day or per month is everything. more visitor you have, more money you make. with your example of 30 visitor and making 200, say you had the same level of conversion and have 10 times more traffic. then you would make 10 times more. you still would say visitor per day is nothing?

Sultan, we're operating under the presumption that this is a new site (well, at least I am). If that is indeed the case, I'm sure he'll be seeing his traffic grow. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless the OP came back and said that the site launched six months ago - THEN I'd start worrying.

Generally speaking 30 visitors a day is very little, translates to about 15 or 20 uniques. You can post your URL here or PM me and I will take a look and see if I can offer you some advice.

There are some sites that can do very well with low (high quality) traffic but most sites would like to have a hundred or more visitors a day and grow. It sounds like you have been working on it for a while, so that kind of low traffic could mean something you are doing is not working.

    good luck

    That's totally wrong Sultan,
Internetmarketingiq an Dan are absolutely right.

Every visitor which go through your website do not buy the products, if it is general visitor.

But when you target rich audience than 30 visitors a day works.

for how many months are you working on your site? you said you've been working for it for months, i think it's 30 visits per day is not good.. put more effort, read and explore more about promoting to generate more traffic and backlinks.

30 visitors a day is considered as poor site. Try to reach 200-500 a day. And much better if you can get 1000 visitors a day.

Internetmarketingiq,Dan and casinouk have absolutely hit the nail in.:cool:I have witnessed 1:5 on highly targeted but low traffic.:eek:So the name of the game is targeting and converting.NOT volume. Why don't you repurpose your posts as articles and submit to article directories? Some FREE and TARGETED traffic for ya.Just my two cents.;)

If your website is selling service, then nobody cares about number of Visitors, thing to care about is ROI, , but if your website is not selling any service or product and you are earning by Adverstisment on your website then atleast 5000 visitors daily is must for a website.

How long it's been worked on is irrelevant. How long the site has been live is what matters.

If it's only been a week, 30 is ok. But not good enough if it's been around for a couple of months or so. Try reaching at least 100 - 200 a day :)

    Good luck!
