Have to be 18

So I will be turning 18 in a couple years and I still wanted to use adsense. I asked my dad and he said that there was no way he was going to put his social security number on there. So my question is there any risk at all in doing that, or is there a just as good alternative to adsense?

I think all programs are going to have a TOS that says you must be 18 (so you can legally enter into a contract, unless you are emancipated). Putting another persons SS# would mean they would need to pay taxes on it. While the TOS may require you to be 18, I have never had to verify my age and don't think there is any way they would know if you weren't.

 

To my knowledge, there's no age verification. As a hypothetical though, if you had 2,000 dollars in your account and google somehow found out you were underage, guess who loses the Adsense income..?

 

Yes, you must not be a minor to join Adsense. You may need use your parent's name to join instead.

 

The alternative is called patience, but why ask? your going to do it regardless even if it isnt right. What you ask for validation or for someone to give you hints and tips on doing something that isnt right.

 

So if I entered my social security number what would be the risk of them finding me would there be a red flag in google saying the age he gave and the age that was on the social does not match up, or do you think I should just go for it.

If I used my dads name that is right isn't it, and I just want to know the risk I am taking, not if I think it is moral or not.

 

I did join few years ago when i was 17 and never had any problems ... ( I am from Europe )

first try others as usually other networks don't ask ssn and then you can use adsense

Join Adsense. thousands of other underage people make money with Adsense everyday. Some are rich from it.

 

if you cant your parent permisison, wait till you turn 18.
it is not worth to risk because when there are tax problems and you lie about your age, its trouble.
And also not to mention, adsense is not a thing to just lie and signup and get profit and leave.. it will become your long term "partner"
so only do the rights

as for now why dont you start building your site, bring traffic (people loves initial sites with no ads )
then in few years, signup for adsense and put ads, you will def get $ on first day

then if you get the check, payee name is your dad..

The risk you are taking is from your dad...........................He already told you his views. So it would be nice if a child listens to thier parents once in while, especially when using their name for financial gain.

And the altenative is, sure use your dads name et cetera. And when the check comes, you wont be the one going to the bank with it, and all that nice little wish list of things you wanted with the money is now your dads wish list.

 

One thing you need to think about is if you use someone elses name now for two years and you dont get banned during that time, could it cause you problems in the future when you are legally of age to take part in it?

adsense paying more thats why all people like adsense
the only think i dont love in adsense that they baaan people with no reason

 

I would not use fathers if he told you not to. If you make money and do not tell him he is not paying the taxes and could have a problem with IRS

 

I suggest you wait for few years
