I have no idea what to do this election cycle, hate to just stay home but may have no choice.

I love number 35. It seems the writer of the article knows better than obama himselfs what he prefers. No. 45 is pretty good too. No. 48 is the best though, because it's well known that patriotism means wearing a piece of metal made in china and putting your hand over your heart

In 1995, State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her chosen successor, Barack Obama, to a few of the district’s influential liberals at the home of two well known figures on the local left: William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

They disappeared in 1970, after a bomb — designed to kill army officers in New Jersey — accidentally destroyed a Greenwich Village townhouse, and turned themselves into authorities in 1980. They were never prosecuted for their involvement with the 25 bombings the Weather Underground claimed; charges were dropped because of improper FBI surveillance.

Some of the points are of minor consequence or easily debunked.

But it's alarming when you look at the whole.

When it comes down to electing the most powerful position in the United States, we knew to look at everything.

The primaries were basically over in a month. The democratic nomination will come down to the convention.

Sonig, I understand your concern. I think some of this may come from Bogart's dozens of pages of misinformation, across multiple threads, regarding Obama. I am not predisposed to believe it's a racism thing. Will, for example, has generally made his points on substance, and I can respect that. But with pages and pages of false material being floated, and Bogart, from what I have seen, leading the charge, I have wondered myself, to be honest, if Bogart just has a problem due to the guy's race.

That said, I regret I made a flippant comment sometime ago in this way, and here, the KKK thing isn't right. None of us get anywhere by disrespecting each other like this.

I have come to the conclusion Bogart just dosen't like anyone with dark skin, weather they be Arab Muslim or Black Christian. It just seems his full time job is to smear lies against Obama, but for what reason?

I understand your frustration, sweetsara - I've been dealing with this for some time myself. I honestly don't know, because none of the smears have any basis in reality, from all I have looked into. Therefore, I can't get a consistent sense as to why Bogart is pursuing this. I will accord him the respect of doing it for his own reasons, though, and just try to deal with the smears as they come along.

Ok, so Bogart is adamant in exposing Obama.. so therefore he is racist? He is a member of the KKK?

Just because someone is actually WILLING to attack someone that NOONE else is, doesn't mean there's something wrong with THEM.

I'd appreciate it if some of you race card players would remove the scrambled eggs that are between your ears and return it to the chef you stole them from.

After an unsuccessful campaign for Congress in 2000, Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama faced serious financial pressure: numerous debts, limited cash and a law practice he had neglected for a year.

In early 2001 from a significant new legal client -- a longtime political supporter --- Chicago entrepreneur Robert Blackwell Jr. paid Obama an $8,000-a-month retainer to give legal advice to his growing technology firm, Electronic Knowledge Interchange. It allowed Obama to supplement his $58,000 part-time state Senate salary for over a year with regular payments from Blackwell's firm that eventually totaled $112,000.

A few months after receiving his final payment from EKI, Obama sent a request on state Senate letterhead urging Illinois officials to provide a $50,000 tourism promotion grant to another Blackwell company, Killerspin.

With support from Obama, other state officials and an Obama aide who went to work part time for Killerspin, the company eventually obtained $320,000 in state grants between 2002 and 2004 to subsidize its tournaments.

I've seen the same thing posted in some threads about illegal immigration where people can not separate illegal immigration from legal immigration amd also inject charges of racism. I have a couple of people working for me that are legal immigrants. But that doesn't stop the charges of racism in arguments about illegal immigration.

Terrorists come in all colors. What race is the American Taliban guy and both William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, the former Weather Underground members and Obama supporters?

Its not even about Bogart, the Main Stream Media has also basically given Obama a free pass, and the one time he is challenge to answer tough questions, the moderators get criticized for that and basically labeled racists like what has happened to Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos and there debate last week. It seems like a lot of people want Obama to win, and god forbid someone ask him a tough questions.

Nate, don't know if some of this "scrambled egg" vent was directed at me, but personally, if Bogart posted facts, as opposed to baseless cut and pastes, generally, from debbieschussel.com, I'd accord him the respect of worthy debate. There have been dozens of pages and numerous threads with this crap, and frankly, one does get tired of debunking.

Beyond this, when Bogart says something like:

(lengthy back and forth, several pages, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=758190&page=10).

-And so many variations on the theme, one must conclude he believes certain folks just shouldn't be president, on the face of it, our constitution notwithstanding. I can't agree with this, and I do call this bigotry.

Sonig, I haven't seen anyone accuse Gibson/Steph. of being racists. I call them idiots. That was the most ridiculous Maury Povichesque-meets-Jerry Springer travesty of "debate" in television history, and zero of the opprobrium earned had anything to do with false charges of racism.

Not you, it was mostly directed at sweetsara.. unless you thought Bogart is racist and part of the KKK.

There are sever instances that I don't agree with Bogart on the issues, but at all times I think any question or argument is valid and shouldn't be shot down as "OMG RACIST".

I didn't see anything in his posts worthy of personally attacking him and it's just so typical that the race card players will always initiate personal attacks.
