They may just be protecting their copyright by buying all domains with Google in them.

Surely the domain name would be more than a stone wall answer? I can see it becoming yet another online auction place, which will allow you to place auctions linking to your own websites, then they'll pull the plug on that feature within the first 4 months, then it'll become another auction place full of shitty auctions, much like eBay:D

    Lol thats pretty funny.

I hope they don't turn into yahoo.

Yahoo does everything and fails at it, mostly. Answers is pretty good.

If given a chance, Google will own everything including Microsoft.

I find it hard to believe Google wouldn't attach that kind of service to their branded domain name.

It is likely just tm management - they registered it so no one else would (and, if someone else did, while they have the right to it, they would have to go through expensive litigation to get it). So why not just register it themselves?

Yes and no. As I look thru my list of 300 domain names, I realize that ,pst are about Costa Rica, Real Estate, or both
    example: costaricarefinancing.com
Sure I want to reserve them, but I will build those into sites eventually and branch out.
