Just a scumbag that built 1,500 pages of crap to get good weight.

Zap the bastard...

 

Keep the reports coming and the co-op can become self policing.

I have a page like that too, but it's just to get spidered. I wouldn't put anthing else on it like that putz did.

 

This site is in Polish language, but is nothing more than single keywords lame spam.

This guy is targeting ringtones keywords with spam about dogs, music and other not related things.

 

was there an ad running for that page?

because if there isn't it really shouldn't matter whats on it

Not exactly a quality site that folks would want to link to as some of these guys have deals with spyware/adware/malware download sites.

If you guys find any of this you should report it to Shawn also in a hurry.

 

I know that back links can't hurm us, but i hope there is no link to this site in coop.

I don't think it's ok to generate 100 000 spam pages just to get some good weight.

I Think he is in the coop, but there might be no links to this spam websites. He added this just to get better weight.

 

These pages definatly shouldn't be linked to or from any quality pages in the network.

 

We are going to need Minstrel, because this is going to drive the members crazy until Shawn gets some rules in place and starts deleting bad sites and unscrupulous operators from the co-op.

I do think the members should have a reporting mechanism like the search engines do to report violators of the TOS and spammers.

 

We have to wait for the TOS.

I think that each user with spamy sites should get a worning and info to remove ads from spamy pages.

I totally agree with that, something like that would be very helpful in weeding these people out. Perhaps something where we put in the offending domain and the page we found to be "spammy". Once a domain gets enough complaints, or if it is obviously a technique to take advantage of the network, we bring them down.

 

I am very sure that Shawn thought about it before me or anyone else as he already asked for volunteers to review sites, this would just be a logical way to automate the process.

It is a simple idea and those complaints could go to a board of oversight of members of the co-op with the most knowledge, I think you may be one of those Jacob, I know TOPS and Foxy are also, Compar and VS would also be good members of that board of review.

All the members of the co-op could become contributors to the system, so it would truly be self policing.

If you are linked to and from link farms you will feel very different when they are taken out.

 

Do a search on any of the search engines, I am sure you will be an expert in no time
