Its more than a year old site but I have changed everything Few of the things which I am looking for you guys to review is - 1. How does the site looks ? 2. It is a bit over whelming when it opens and takes a minute to just figure out what the site is about. I think maybe you tried to fit to much all onto the main page there.
Agree with Swedal, you tried to fit in too many items, so it takes too much time before you've figured what its all about. The layout and design are good, try to focus on a limited number of items and you should be fine.
How is the loading time by the way ? I think I will add a Block at the top to tell what the site is about

Firstly, the overall design and appearance is good. Likes Article structure is good Pictures with articles Language converter Easy to contact Polls- good way to interact with visitors Pictures is showcase Dislikes Logo- Although it is acceptable, I believe you can do better. Search box- it stands out more than the logo Top adsense- box around it does not have a bottom to it Footer- too bright This is just a brief review however what you choose to implement is completely up to you. It is a great start and I believe you can do even better. Have you considered adding a forum, it can be great to encourage repeat visitors, also a blog can be good for search engines and create a community atmosphere. I would also definitely start a newsletter even if it is just outlining the new content that has been added each month, to get people to signup offer an ebook or something. Good luck with your site, it has lots of potential

I need to see about logo and search and what I can do. can u tell me which resolution you are looking the site at ? because to me the border for ads look fine but I can imagine it creating problems for other resolution. aaah, I got it. The problem is in some pesky css alignment. It will need few hours to fix it so i thought, lets leave for some lazy saturday Thanks for telling though.
Ok I have put the newsletter as well here, any chances of anyone checking whether they are working or not ? In the past I have seen, none of newsletter delivering mails because of local smtp
its a nice portal, colour combination perfect ! I don't think after two months of hardwork you are missing something - site is good designed , everything is perfect according to me , however now you should focus your attention towards the SEO and the marketing of your site.Cheers! Regards, M Brain.
ya brain, now I am gong to spend next 3 months on site marketing and SEO. @mantisa - ya, the site do have some contrast problems, The problem is, I can't design so even for small logo's, I have to rely on others. I will try to learn PS in my free time to be able to do all these small things on my own.

Hi, The colors and look on the site are fine. Want kinda turned me off was that there were loads of links going to different articles. You need to soften you main page and guide your audience, for example you should have you an excerpt of your latest post on your main page with a picture to the left or right of it. You top bar navigation menu should be made to be the secondary focal point for you audience so they will click through. You could use a larger font or maybe a color that will make those links stand out.
