Im not inclined to engage in your tactics. And oh, it is easy enough to find pages without them being on any root menu. But Im sure you are quite aware of that.

 

How? Are you telling us that 35 pages of "AFFILIATE DOORWAY" pages magically appeared in front of the editor? may be it was religious experience and it just appeared on editor screen by divine intervention and since he didn't get the message the first time, 35 different pages from same domain just kept appearing one after another one.

This prophet of sex is quite powerful, sometimes even hundreds of these pages appear on editors screen.

I can’t believe I’m getting sucked into such a moronic argument. You want everyone to believe that if an editor finds one page of a site, that it is difficult to find many, many others without having a menu on the root URL? You seem to be a bright and deceptive person. I’m sure you have done it many times yourself. But just for the sake of others who read this thread. The magic tool is called …….. are you ready?........ GOOGLE. I only need one page to find the rest. But there are many, many other tools and venues to mine sites.

Maybe I’m wrong, but when you pose questions like this, it looks like you are trying to deceive the public. I hope that isn’t the case.

 

So for some reason you want us to believe that editor found the doorway pages from this domain 35 times through Google.
Let's look at the first listing from this domain which is under Monica Miller, so it is natural that if an editor was looking for this, that editor should search for Monica Miller in Google. What is the first result from this search in Google, a domain with name pinkpornstars(.)com which has more than what is listed in DMOZ, is this site listed in DMOZ? of course not.
I suppose search in Google is much easier when you know what you want to find as result.

On the second listing Neriah Davis, this site doesn't even rank in first or second or third page of Google results, the site that this doorway pages is affiliate for ranks in Google search but some how editors decides to list this affiliate.

Do I need to continue with other listings?

 

No No NO! A thousand times no and you know it. You only need to search the original root url once. Thats it. Its that simple. No big trick. I did it. Anyone can do it. Period.

How is resubmitting a single site "spamming"? Remember: DMOZ gives no feedback and its not like you're dealing with any real consistency from one editor to the next as to how the "rules" are interpreted...

Nope not possible - you have to be an editor in order to list sites. Since I'm approaching my one year anniversary, those sites couldn't have been listed by me a year earlier than I listed them.

Why do people (you) think that editors sacrifice editing time to visit forums? If I wasn't here or at RZ - I still wouldn't be editing during those times - I would be doing my homework, working on taxes, cooking dinner, brushing my horses - everything except editing. I don't edit unless I want to - and if I want to edit, then I'm editing and not here or doing anything else (unless I have to be doing something else).

 

Ah, I see. That explains a lot. You still have those little Editall and Meta icon images in your eyes as you fall asleep so you don't want to upset anyone who might stymie your DMOZ ambitions...

Simple, it is against ODP guidelines. Plus I didnt say definately, but it is likely if someone continues to submit a site without reguard for ODP guidelines.

Try to keep up. lmocr also was recently bragging about how she has just listed sites submitted in 2001 and she stated that fact proudly.

Can you find any where in those alternative definitions where it says thet submitting using a web site's submission form and then re-submitting when you have had no feedback as to what happened and the site has not been listed meets the criteria for spamming?

I have an idea: Why don't you take lmocr's hand and stumble on over to the Resourceless Zone and re-define words and make up rules as you go along to your heart's content? I think both of you will be a LOT happier over there.

ok... back to the question My last site submission for a customers site, was taking a long time - five months. Finally this worked... I went through every other link in the category I was submitting to (yep that takes awhile), and sent the editor a note letting them know; which links were no longer active, double ups, redirects or doorways... 2 weeks later - the dmoz page is all cleaned up and my clients site is now listed.

 

Why do people still go on regarding how long till i get submitted in DMOZ.

I have a 3 of my sites listed in DMOZ. I don't know how long it really took to get listed as i never checked, just noticed them when i checked my links.

I have also submitted my new site UK Flooring Direct a few weeks ago

Best thing to do is read the guildlines, submit and forget........
