Hello guys After seeing other threads, I also thought of asking to you all experts how is the ads placement at my website? AskVG.com Is it fine or is there any possibility to improve it? Also I read somewhere that we should not put all 3 Ad units and links units allowed by Google. It can decrease the earning. Is it true? Also any suggestion for ads positions and type? Do their position also effect the earnings? I'll be very thankful to all of you if you post your valuable suggestions. Thank you. PS: Please check both Main page as well as posts page.
to me, you have too many different ads on your page. can't believe ads for replacement windows are helping you.
when I visited your site, I believe there were too many advertisements on the page - less is better to me. One of the advertisements was for window replacements for your home, not really something your visitors would be interested in. I think you should remove some of the advertisements

Many big earners such as Joel Comm has mentioned that less is good and I always display only two ads (MAX) if possible. You may want to consider my following suggestions: 1) Display only one ad unit under the first post. 2) Shift the side vertical link unit to above the 'sections' header. If possible, try to make your 'Sections' header the same appearance as the 'Ads by Google' fonts. 3) Leave the top link unit untouched. It will be your main source of Adsense income for this site By the way, I don't think you can display both Adbrite and Adsense together on the same page.. You may want to try combining Adsense and Kontera.

I have moved link unit above to Sections and also have changed "Sections" font and style and now it looks similar to Google header.
For 1), I mean you should only have one 468x60 ad banner below the first post. More ad banner of this kind will reduce the per-click earnings.. For 3), yes, you have made the right choice by using the link unit instead of ad unit. Thanks for the clarification for the adbrite and Adsense thing.. I have always thought otherwise
ad placements look ok to me but you could cut down on ads. People don't like to see too many ads on sites. Otherwise the site looks good.
^^ Thanks. Are you talking about the main homepage or post page? cause you mentioned "first post" word. Also do tell me about posts page, are both Rectangle Ad above the post and 468x60 ad under the post OK? If not, then which one should I remove? Thanks in advance.
The placement is quite good, but I doubt the link unit on the right would be too similar to the links underneath it, and am afraid that it will breach the TOS.
I am talking about your main page.. For your post pages, I would suggest a smaller box for adsense so that your content can float around it Try them out and see if it works for your blog.
