If you want real-time traffic visualisation, there's nothing quite like glTail.

 

perhaps you should give a try to phpmyvisites ot piwik, see my post below, I know nothing about piwik, but I enjoy phpmyvisites (I use it for 3 sites, gives great results)

 

I have started to use Yahoo's mybloglog there are two versions the first is free gives you limated stats shows you ten keywords and ten sites your users came from delaided by 24hrs. The second is not free there is a charge of $30 the difference is that you have real time stats and it will show you all your stats keywords, where you traffic is coming from. One thing I love about is that you can see what your users click like google ads I have cought google out on alot of clicks. www.mybloglog.com is the site.

 

StatCounter provide comprehensive realtime analysis and load fast, but if beyond 250,000 pageloads a month, you will need to pay.

 

I use google anylitics, get clicky and smarter stats.. Nothing matches in terms of specific numbers, however the do kinda follow the same trends/ For example if i get allot of traffic they all report a higher number.
I Find smarter stats which read the server logs to be most accurate.

 

set always statcounter for your website and get the reports of accurate visitors report.

the only real time visitor analysis software is Visitpath as far as I know. It's like watching TV of your website visitors, as if you were sitting behind them. test is on visitpath . com for free

 

I use Firestates. Never found anything better and that requires minimal server use.
