And so it goes that monopolies are not good. I remember a few days ago reading a thread here of a DP member wanting to do an Adsense Blackout for a day. most members if not all were against it, even telling this DP member to go with another PPC. I live in the US and can only imagine the things Martin L. King was told by some people when he proposed walking to work instead of using public transit. granted walking 5, 8 or 10 miles is not the same as going without a few bucks or hundred a day but still a sacrifice is made in the hopes that tomorrow will bring change for the better. Similar to the selfish members here in DP , that told the thread starter, that as a protest to such low payouts we should consider a blackout. they practically lynched him. we'll now let's see what happens when Yahoo is out of the Ad serving picture, those same members that said NO to the Block Adsense for a day come gripping about "why does google pay .02 for an insurance related click, when on adwords the avg. cost per click is 1.06 Yahoo and Google bad for Adsense publishers .
The problem being. Is that not everyone will move. If half the people move then the rest are left to clean up the scraps and make money off it. Although morally right. It wont happen. Its like that huge zango debate. Money is more important than spyware. Tbh. SOme people were right. If you dont like what you get then move.... That pretty much is a adsense blackout. If you move to another ppc. Then essentially you are doing exactly that. Why use NO ppc? why not just use another?
i don't think its Yahoo/Google merger. its more like Yahoo serving adsense ads which is a test project
actually, i agree with what he is saying. recently ive been getting like 0-2 cents per click where i used to get over 40 cents per click...somethings messed up here. google shouldent be able to just push a few buttons and increase there profits and lower ours signifigantly. the problem is getting people to do something about it. though, considering basic economics the market should balance itself out (if some business owners are shorthanded)--with a monopoly (like google is), that is not the case.
