I read a lot of books [both e-books and paper books]. I wonder what types of books if any, people read the most. Seems like people, read actual books very little [except harry potter and a few others].
I still read books, real books, it beats having to face the monitor to read a copy of the e book, much straining to the eyes if you are reading an e book compared to a normal published book.
I read everything. My most favorite genres include fiction, science fiction, biographies, thrillers, self development, serious literature, history, and philosophy. As a result, my library keeps expanding by the month.
Yup, nothing beats the feeling of holding a book in hand. Plus it isn't as tiring as staring on the screen to read some articles. Some of my favorite books are Tuesday with Morrie, Five People You Meeting In Heaven, For One More Day, The Kite Runner etc
I have a ton of paper/hard back programming, databasing, unix . . . etc books laying around. Basically I will read whatever I can get my hands on, but free is preferred
I love to read although am pretty slow so a book takes a couple of months to get through. Time is the major reason why I don't, although I read my kids books most days.
I didn't think that many people on DP would read paper books. Maybe i am wrong. One of my friend who is an avid book reader says the same things. He refuses to read e-versions of books and buys paper ones. He says that holding and reading a book is a unique experience which can't be matched by staring at the computer screen.
I read my Chilton and Haynes manuals when I work on my vehicles if I don't know the particular steps for what I am doing. A brake job I won't use the book. Pulling my transmission I have glanced at the book but since I have done transmissions before I haven't paid too much attention to the book.
I read a few books. I strongly reccomend Malorie Blackmans - Noughts And Crosses triology. Best books I've ever read. Jam
