    Well, except the fact that they'll charge you $10/mth after one year, there is none. I always used them to buy $4.99 domain names and now they're my main host. I'm loving this. I definitely recommend them :)

    No catch, no need to purchase a second year if you do not want to keep the domains or the webspace after a year and forgot to mention the offer comes with a Google AdWords coupon to promote your site and 5 Commerce Pro ready to go stores.

    The only limitation I'm facing is .htaccess

    Not all commands are supported causing 500 error message if you try.

    Prob. with the netfirms..... They do offer a good deal in terms of the hosting but when your request to the server increase they will ask you take off your site from their server. I used Powweb years ago they were having the same problem and same with Globat. All of them have clustered servers with more than 4000 sites on the same ip. i.e if any of the famous sites will ban that ip from their mail or any of their services then one will be in big trouble.

    It is recommend not to have hosting from these Companies.....

    My understanding was that the domains were only free as long as they were registered and hosted with netfirms. If you want to transfer them or host them elsewhere, you have to pay retroactively. That's what I remember from last time I checked out netfirms.
