    Websushil,

on page search engine optimisation is all the things you do to your own site. URLs, Meta Tags, Page titles, H tags, content etc. It is the opposite to off page, which concerns itself with things you do - or facilitate - elsewhere on other sites that point to your site.

In the early days SEO was predominantly on page. It became more off page with the rise of Google. As link spamming has become more prevalent Google has edged back towards less off page.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the link in you're signature is either your company or one that you work for.

You're offering SEO and you don't know what on-page SEO?

    Thats a joke.

    Good explanation.

You could also take into account on page keywords/density etc.

Concentrate on title tag, description, URL, HR tag, internal link structure and a few keyword phrases that you target in your content. Those is the area that I think it is very important.

    yes, redspace is correct.
Still you need to place a stat code for your site, so you can come to know how much visitors you are gaining daily,
It will be just before completion of body tag"</body>

do not use Frames, Flash, Image Maps, or Dynamic URLs.
    use heading tags <h1 >Heading Size 1</h1>
    update content
    title tag
    Select correct keywords
    images "alt" attributes.
    Meta tags
    Be bold Keywords
    Titles for links
    Don’t use inline style sheet

Try to make strong internal linking, you can even have links in your content on the specific word, that works great,

onpage seo mainly means the following factors:
1.building good quality content(relevant to your site's theme)
    2.Nice meta tags(title,description,keywords etc.)
    3.proper internal linking(navigation in between site's pages)

His company does SEO like KingPin pointed out ..
    so why did he ask?

probably not because he doesn't know, but because he is creating a full page on this thread ABOUT SEO. lol
Not too bad of a tactic. It's much better than seeing people come in and post with that anal infomercial annoying tone. Plus those types of threads have most people saying = "pfft...idiot" and ignoring the posts.

but this guy websushil .. asks forum's patrons what they love to do ..answer questions ! and try to do so in a race to see who has the more authoratative and complete answer.

    Review of websushil's tactic:
Ask a simple question without sounding too noobish , none of that ="whoa dude! ..whats up with this SEO stuff?!" (followed by a double post of the same question) Which most will ignore because they'll assume any answer to such a person ..will be kinda wasted when they say "whoa dude!" ..to something else later in the day.

So this guy is making an angle on his question, tone of somewhat interested or concerned person .. the need to ask an expert....and all the 'experts' rush to answer and be the most expert-est..at doing so. lol

The result: he gets a whole page, perhaps more to this thread, if so ..he'll probably post on those too.
His SEO company gets lots of keywords on SEO with links pointing back from DP ..which is one of the top forums.

Some people dont know the answers - Many people like to race to be the first to say I KNOW! I KNOW!..

what websushil is doing ..is using it. Those that dont know will read the thread. Those that race to answer and do what they love most = talking like they know, will fill the threads in a debate over who's the biggest expert. Websushil was probably a blogger and forum post myster i nthe last decade when the nofollow wasnt there. Now, he must be cotinuing for the traffic = Digital Point is high traffic SEO related site. it has nofollow, so this guy wants traffic.

    P.S.
If you look at his post - his keywords are "on page" and "off page" SEO with a higher density of "on page SEO"
speaking of on pages, you can print on pages , printing on pages is fun. lol
and check out this in his post: " i know what is off page seo but i want to know what is on page seo "
written in a 'foreign tone' ? or ..is "what is printing" his goal? lol
Nice use of tactic.. 2 points :D

Speaking of on page SEO, i have heard that meta keywords are no longer important as majority of search engines no longer take reference of the tag, can anyone confirm this as new to this stuff and learning as i go along. I'm still using the title/keyword/decription tags just to be on the safe side.
