I just installed oscommerce on my hosting , it ran perfectly , then I bought a theme , uploaded it , and the problem was " global.....is not enable in php.ini ..." , I have already edit the .htacess file to enable it , but haven't fixed the problem yet . you can use a custom_ini.php for that particular folder to enable register_globals. this way its only there and not your entire site.
