    Hi all, me again :)

    A forum I set up in my spare time can be found at www.Footie-forum.co.uk

    Any/all comments on how to increase my member count, improve the useability of my forum, or make it generally more appealing would be much appreciated.

    Oh, btw, don't forget to check out the 'Tube Video Gallery' section, which is packed full of great clips. BTW, where would I go to get some programming done on the Video Section, etc - I would like to make it a little more user-friendly & appealing to use.

    The general appearance of the forum is nice and you have it nicely populated with threads.

    To build members you need to build traffic and that takes promotion through link building and other means to let those interested in football know your forum exists.

    Thanks for the comments guys - personally I like the look of the site, and it does take up some of my spare time, but I love the subject matter, so not really a problem.

    I spent a little time before launch on the design side, and I thought it came out reasonably well.

    Glad I posted this now, got a couple of new members, and a very good link exchange in the off'ing, so cheers for taking the time to look folks.

    Nice to know that the theme, etc, seems to be right too.

    The logo seems a bit outdated.

    The theme is somewhat outdated and isn't football-themed.

    I will agree up to a point :)

    The logo is a home-made job, until I see if the forum takes off. Once it does, I will happily invest what is necessary to get a proefssionally done logo. Do you think this might put people off, or should I be looking at this investment now rather than later?

    The theme is 'earthtone' on MyBB, and whilst not footie related in general, the colour scheme etc look s a little different. I will again be investing in getting this theme modified at some stage to have more footie orientated (eg. Footballs instead of folders for sub-forums, etc).

    Thanks for the comments, these are what I am looking for as I try to constantly improve my little forum. You have me away thinking this weekend, about whether or not to go ahead with a little investment :)

    Just how a forum should be, clean and tidy - great little skin you got on there too.

    I only register on vBulletin websites, so it you had vBulletin you could of got me to register and post a bit. :p

    simple, very generic which is not always a bad thing.
    I like it personally, not a huge soccer (sorry football) fan but know the game quite well.

    Can I ask - the adverts I have added along the top.... do they put people off, will they hurt my potential membership ???

    I have added these affiliate adverts, plus reorganised the forums (put the feedback & intro section to the bottom).

    Does this improve the forum, or make it not user-friendly?
