yeah dragons den is one of my favourite programs, really wanting to have a look at this thread but your forum still seems to be down.

 

That is a good show. The dragons den is very draconian in scope, lol

 

His products' site isn't exactly brilliant. .

 

I second that! Looks like it's been made by someone who "learned" in the early 90's then never learned anything new. But lets not hold that against them.

Getting on the show is a good achievement, although if they get shot down by the 5 of them then it could hurt the business quite a lot, although thats not always the case.

The product itself doesn't look that amazing though, they will need to have a great pitch to get the money. I'm sure i've seen this product before though, maybe they arn't ones that stay wet forever, but still for a pretty long time.

 

I don't quite get what the magnets have to do with this chewing gun immitation? Looks like fun stuff and if I didn't have to spend my money elsewhere then I'd buy some.

To be honest i think its totally different, the apprentice is basically "a job interview from hell" and Dragons Den is where you pitch your ideas/inventions to 5 of the richest people in england.

... and those dragons decide whether or not to buy into your product/idea - eg. fund it in return for a percentage of the business.

 

i was watching it yesterday, and peter jones done n amazing deal, something no one expecting, he offered for 40% of the company in return for 100k ($200k) and if in 3 years he achieved his targetted profit, peter jones said he will ask for only 35% of the company in return for 100k.

The estimated profit if i can remember was something like 1.3 million.

 

What was the product?
