    it is very simple...

you need to maintain the 15:1 ratio

stumble 15 different sites before you stumble your site..

    simple

as always it can be done but in moderation, not by mass submitting but a slower process.

otherwise you get spotted and punished

What if I have 15 websites in total, and only claim to SU that I own only one of them, and then I stumble each of them everyday. As such, I can still maintain such a 15:1 ratio. Is it possible to do so?

it's easy to thnk but don't do such activity,,, what will be the problem if you stumble others websites? So go ahead stumbling for funny and enertaining or websites related to your ones.(I mean to say if you website is related to business then stumble others websites also that is related to busness so you will get genuine visitors.)

    NO!

that isn't permitted in DP anymore

and about that 15 sites of yours...you need to stumble different sites everytime and in between you stumble yours..

do not fool them...they will catch you.

    It is very easy frnd

just use the SU toolbar daily for 10 minutes...and you are done...

Does this structure apply for social bookmarking sites like digg? Do you digg your own articles? Are there any rules about digging your own content? Is your digg username something related to your website or not (i.e. would it be weird to have a digg account with the username "dormwise" that dugg articles from my website "DormWise"?)

I'm just starting to get going with the social bookmarking trend and would love some thoughts on the process! Thanks!

I agree with this, and the same holds true for most social networking sites (except maybe del.icio.us). You will also run the risk of users taking note of the multiple submissions and you may find yourself with a few [IMG].

My advice is only stumble your really good posts...and no, not all of them are really good.

As someone already said the answer is NO! In fact, it's a VERY good idea to read and reread the rules, stickies, and announcements in forums and parent forums before posting in BST (or any section really) as the rules do change, and they are spread out in many places not just the infraction thread and rules link...

I found this out the hard way when I first joined SU. Unfortunately there is no way to "undo" a site you've found (by far the worst decision ever on Stumbleupon's part), so I have like 10-15 links from the same domain and they have had zero success because of this.

StumbleUpon never sent me any targeted traffic. This is my experience, you will get loads of 0-3 seconds visits.

No, that would be a really bad idea. You would be labeled a spammer very fast. Also, StumbleUpon's algorithm is being improved to weed out self spamming. Your effect would become worse and worse.

Either use StumbleUpon respectably or don't use it at all. You'll just waste your time.

    Everything in moderation.

Make sure you stumbeupon good posts that aren't just one-liners. If you just stumbelupon all your posts ven though most of your posts are just one line you will get hated quickly.

Then where can I exchange 'thumbs up' and fans in SU on the web? I guess it's a good idea to get more SU traffic.

I have the stumbleupon toolbar installed, and I use it from time to time. It's a great way to "surf" stumbleupon.

When it comes to SU sending you traffic by you stumbling your own posts; I would find a group in a discussion forum or some of your contacts or whatever to do it for you instead (and you stumble their posts).

It doesn't take long before your stumbles won't count at all, and all you see is a white page at SU.

I have heard of several people who have created more than one account at SU, and they use the other accounts to stumble their blogs. When they get their "white page", they just create another account and continue to stumble.
