that's China's freaking problem, they always suppress the press and no one knows what really happened. That 's why people in other country can write whatever they want

I would agree with that, their censorship is so tight and efficient that even if they did kill people, it would be difficult for anyone to know of it.

also , there is one Chinese girl in duke openly support Tibet. She and her family are being call traitor and people those stuff at their house.

Are we Chinese people that stupid? Can we spend our time to do something that is actually constructive to improve ourselves instead of doing these little thing that doesn't matter at all?

The Chinese should be used to criticism by now. They have a totalitarian government that uses force against protectors and they have taken over other countries and then said that they were not invaders. Protest and dissent over Tibet has been going on for decades and it's not going away anytime soon.

Simply ask yourself this question "Is it important for me to be free?" There's your answer.

Is ironic, how free tibet is today compare to the time before China regain Tibet.

They're going to have to get used to it if they plan on being a "superpower".

A lot more criticism is coming China's way.

Criticism will not move China, they are going to be a superpower whether there is criticism or not. It is an inevitable trend. But the world is better of engaging China rather than treat it with hostility.

Nah, there's no "inevitable trend" that automatically grants China superpower status. They have plenty of competition on every front.

No one is treating China with hostility. People are entitled to give their opinions about Tibet, and a lot more opinions will be coming as the world media focuses on the Olympics.

The media doesn't like getting pushed around.

I hope not, but with China and also India growth, this two seemed to be the next candidates for superpowers. I am more comfortable with India than China, India being at least a democratic country known for being non-align. Whereas China is still a communist country.

A "Communist" country that has grabbed on to Capitalism with both hands. When the people realize they're not getting any benefits from the "miracle economy", I imagine they'll revolt, on at least some level and demand more freedom.

Right now China and India are getting a lot of business because they can produce services and goods cheaply. When the prices go up, the growth levels off.

live in same city, having same name, promote the same site, pretty hard to miss

and beside freeing tibet, i against Olympic too. The government spent billion of dollar to build stadium and stuff while people in small village sell their organ for food (ever heard of blood village?), kid being kidnap and work as slave, half of the population can't read and write. Can you still say you are proud to be a Chinese And these are from Chinese newspaper, not CNN

I'm not very sure about Tibet, but I'm very sure the country definitely will gain alots of benefits from Olympic...

that is the reason why all countries are fighting to hold Olympic..:D
