My site dropped from the serps today - haven't run ads for it on the coop in nearly a month. Went from #4 to nonexistant.

I've managed to hold a #6 - #10 out of 18,000,000 for a highly competitive keyword phrase for months, I'm now down in the 80's. Sux to at holiday time, as it's a shopping site.

Check Your allinanchor position + onpage SEO. Google seems to give more weight to good on page seo + diferent anchor text.

Few of my sites droped do #7 from #1, I changed on page SEO and they are back to #1. I also added a lot of diferetn anchor text without my kw phrase.

One of my site was #1 in Google for many years, last few days it's nowhere to be found in Google. Still #2 in Yahoo & MSN though?!

Allinanchor is still #1 in Google.

My pages haven't gone grey but a lot of dropped to PR0 from PR3 with no changes to them at all. I've also dropped from top 5-10 in All in anchor to the 30-40 range. Not sure if it has anything to do with the Coop but all are KW's or phrases I target with my Coop ads.

Just to add some more, this site of mine was not using the co-op network... it was receiving links from it... yesterday I put the coop to work there... but when I checked the weight... it was already gone. Of course it was not because the co-op ad network... Im just trying to show that it went down in a week or less.

OKay some people sound like chicken little here. Look, it's a myth that using co op network is going to HURT your PR, etc.

Blogs are HUGE in the engines and most of them use sometype of BLOG ROLLING scheme. All these are links (TOTALLY NON RELEVANT TO THE ONSITE BLOG) pointing to other blogs. All these blogs are blogrolling their 'interesting' sites, etc. I don't see them being PENALIZED in any way. Most blogs are targeted toward a particular subject matter as well... and lots of them hard link direct to the other sites they are talking about.

I have blogs that simply link out to my other sites and end up ranking better than the site Im linking to! All hard links, almost no incoming links at all.

Co op is rotating links as well, meaning there are really no PERM links on ANY of these sites running it. If you are lucky, they have a bunch of pages and some of your links were indexed and cached up at G, increasing your IBL.

Anyway, I read all the time on these forums about no relevant link exchanges and I just don't see any negative effects on any live examples in G. Sorry.
