Traffic From Google Gone From Squidoo Lenses

I made a couple of lenses about 10 days ago, I promoted them a little and nearly straight away to my surprise I was getting good traffic from Google. The last 2 days though theres been nothing on both. Is this because the sites are still new? Also It seems like the search positions I was getting decent traffic from are nowhere to be seen when I search now with those keywords.

Am I just being impatient will these return?

This is quite common - new lenses get a burst of traffic in the first few days, and then disappear.

Promote your lens, add relevant tags, join relevant groups, get links to it, and it will hopefully return again soon. There are some Squidoo-specific directories you can submit to: www.Lensroll.com :: www.Squoogle.com :: www.Isle-of-Squid.com.

Thanks for the advice! Yeh, I have been promoting them from day one. My six pack abs lens is quite stable and successful, it is quite old though now.

    These directories look interesting!

If you're getting traffic from Google to new lenses, consider yourself lucky. I've made some pretty nice lenses that do not get ranked well, if at all. Perhaps you've stumbled onto some sort of successful formula for Google and lenses. Do ALL of your new lenses get these same results?
