hey everyone i was just wondering if anyone had a 1and1 account and has dealt with selling there website through them. i currently have an account with them and there seems to be a bit of a restriction on selling a website but then again im very new to it seeing as i have never sold a website before. could someone with a little experience in the website selling field please help me out?

    Thanks

I have 1and1. I e-mailed them once and they said I had to get the domain unlocked so it could be transferred and what not. But it seemed like they couldn't unlock it? Or the email was very badly written. I don't know

ok well you know where im comin from then. id like to sell my site but they require that i submit a change of ownership form and fax it to them its really inconvinient and i would have to keep the site right on the account dueto the large amount of databases i have.

This is interesting because I run a site that's hosted on 1and1 that I would like to transfer to a friend. I was just planning on changing the email address and the credit card number on file for her - can I do that? I can't imagine that would be a problem... we're just switching who's the main contact person. Do you think I'll have an issue with this?

you will only have an issue if you want to change complete ownership.....otherwise just change your addresses and billing information and you should be fine.
