Both directories, both free.

One is http://theblogdatabase.blogspot.com (Mine)

One is http://www.a1linkhome.com/

One offers you pictures, and a chance to be featured site of the week, and rate your favorite blogs.

The other, quite frankly is boring, and doesn't even have a banner. Also, it doesn't even tell how many site have been submitted to each sub directory.

Both are Page rank 0 sites.
Both probably take the same time to submit your site.

One post has had 0 replies from anyone (Mine)
The other has had over 40, with typical comments like.
