I signed up for Squidoo and wrote an unique for my lens. I threw in some links to one of my sites in the article (the article is all unique and 1500 characters long). When I check the page it shows the links are nofollow. I've checked other lens and they are not showing the nofollow (which I thought was the norm). Do I need to gain some sort of points/rep for my links to turn into dofollow or is there some amount of time that has to pass. Thanks db
At the moment Squidoo are working on fixing up a few bugs that occurred when they changed to a new and better server. One of the bugs is that recently created lenses have got stuck in WIP mode (check the lens on your Squidoo dashboard - if there isn't a green tick next to its lensrank then it's still in WIP). While in WIP mode the lens links are nofollow. It usually only takes the daily lensrank update to get out of this mode and for the links to become follow. Once the bug is fixed your problem will be solved.
Now the green check mark is showing in my dashboard and the page is dofollow. Thanks for all the help folks.

Think_Big's Avatar Think_Big great but inlight of the fact can you show us a good example of a really good way to write a hot lense??/
You need add more backlinks... and wait 1-2 months. You will see the lenses become PR1+. If you choose right keyword optimized and create original content and gain backlinks, your lenses will be PR3 in 2-3 months.
Here is an example of a hot Squidoo lens http://www.squidoo.com/success_secrets It has original content, is tagged properly, clean layout, a good combination of modules, products that are related to the topic, attractive images and content related affiliate links but not too many.
