    frankly I miss Gtech's posts.

This is not a one sided political blog but an open forum for any point of view. At various times different perspectives have had a certain dominance or a strong perspective.

It's too bad there aren't a lot of traditional republican/conservative perspectives being aired.

For as much time and space as the RP perspective gets here it is a tiny perspective on a nationwide basis and a severe minority within the republican party itself.

While RPists are working to grow that perspective it is still an incredibly small perspective.

In some ways McCain is Bush-light with a slightly different twist on the war in Iraq and a perspective on Iran. On other ways he is significantly different than Bush.

I'd guess he will carry about 75% of the Bush/ or mainstream conservative perspective forward.

i am missing Gtech also, he used to get me mad but it was more exciting.
but people like him are the cause that rumsfeld was not removed sooner and maybe iraq would have been a more succesfull venture.
the problem is that the neocons were not very competent and the result of their foreign policy has been a disgrace.i am not talking only about the ME , as it is obvious they have also made big miscalculation in south america also and i really can not see them doing any better with the russians.

Hunh? There's way more Goldwater/Reagan republicanism here now than there was 8 months ago.

I think the neconservatism has taken a swift kick to the balls, as fake conservatives (who shall not be named) have retreated to the shadows where their Wilson-esque worldview and New Dealism can still somewhat survive.

The Republican tradition is not foreign war. That IMO is a Democrat position. The Republican tradition has not been runaway spending on entitlements and social programs, that IMO has been a traditional Democrat position.

This Bush administration is nothing like traditional Republicanism. And John McCain is a Rockefeller Republican, not a Reagan Republican.

I am actually feeling the same way, but wasn't quite sure in how to express it. I miss Gtech too. This forum is actually not as enjoyable as it once was, the last few days I've realized I am getting tired of it. I hope Gtech comes back and brings a few of his friends along.:)

GTech is a broken man and it's all the fault of GWB being the biggest disaster to hit America since Pappy Bush and Nixon. :(

The only thing that will galvanise GT into action is if Insane McWar gets elected in and let's hope that doesn't happen, I think he would be as bad (or possibly even worse than GWB)

Actually we can pin point the blame (sorry I mean the great achievement) of Senior Bush, without him junior Bush wouldn't be here.

These people are still around I know quite a few people who are still supporting Bush they don't realize that the war in Iraq is a no win situation.

It depends on how Bush defines winning. How the win was reported.

"Bush and his government" you say. I suppose you forgot to include the Democrat run Congress with lower approval ratings than Bush? They are at the bottom of the barrel in Washington in all categories! Roses and Coffee have a strong smell!:D

Who said Iraq was terrorist free? Sounds like you are upset that a group of people you care about are defeated. May I offer you a tissue?

    muslim terrorists?

Wouldn't it be nice? Well, for some of us ;)

Wrong. Iraqis already have their freedom. They too, are fighting al qaida in Iraq. Obviously you are behind the times. Which is it, al qaida is in Iraq, or are they not?

Terrorists are not fighting for their country's freedom. The Iraqi people already have their freedom. Terrorists are fighting to take those freedoms away. Remember, not every muslim wants to live under an oppressive islamic terrorist regime. Some are actually good people, despite what the Quran teaches and they want freedom. Terrorists that blow up innocent civilians, use disabled children as suicide bombers, use mentally challenged women as suicide bombers, use trucks filled with chlorine to gas civilians...are NOT "freedom fighters." They are terrorists, no matter how some try to portray them as heros.

Who are "we?" I know who you support and who you are against. I also know there are more just like you here ;)

Speaking of answers, it seems you were not man enough to answer my question:

    Too ashamed?

Heh! Someone like you would probably say something like that :D Too funny!

I wouldn't expect anything more from them! That's what always made it so easy.

Now, time to catch up on gauharjk's "Just say no to Jews" post of the day (I'm sure there is one, it's all he ever posts about!) and see how guerilla is giving him tender loving pats of the ass about how bad Jews are. Some day those two will surprise me, and start a post about islamic terrorists instead of how bad Israel and America suck. And, a guerilla (monkey) might fly out of my ass too.

Not only is someone out of touch with P&R, apparently they are out of touch with what is going on in Iraq as well.

Sunnis in Iraq don't have their freedom. Nationalists don't have their freedom. And women don't have their freedom.

But one thing they do have. Is a desire to see the occupation ended, and a future of self-determination, without home rule from Washington DC.

I agree, you are out of touch, as usual. Women will never have freedom under islam. Iraqis have the freedom to stand up against al qaida and they have. Sunnis, Shiites and Nationalists have their freedom. Christians probably don't have their freedom, but then I've never known you to care much about that particular group.

Iraqi's want terrorism to end and to go on about their lives. Christians there want to live without being subjugated to being killed by terrorists for the crime of being infidel. Iraqis are working with the US and Iraqi military now to help identify terrorists.

Here's what I know by the posts you've made here:

    1) You do not care about the Iraqi people. This is evident, because you want the US to pull out so terrorists can take over.

    2) It is most certainly not US Soldiers you care about or their safety, as you've referred to them as purveyors of genocide.

    3) It is not your country you care about, as you spend every day tearing it and Israel down, while lavishing praise on those who openly threaten the US and Israel.

    4) I've never seen you say a bad word about a terrorist. In fact, this one group seems to enjoy your commendations more often than not.

Feel free to correct any of that, if you care.

its not your problem genius! its their way of life you cant say everyone should accept your way of life!

if for example they wear burqa its their way of life the same as japanese wear kimono.

its not al qaeda its IRaqi themself fighting for their freedom.

US has no choice but blackmail the freedom fighter by making those suicide bombings and stamping them with name "al qaeda"
