I currently don't know what I should do exactly. The blogs are rather new and would like to start seeing some traffic going to them.
Hi there mate you can read some of the articles on this website they may be of use to you. www.back-links.org Good Luck, Will.
Lol, I have always found humour in threads like these. You're having trouble marketing a blog about marketing... To answer your question: add content frequently, SEO your blog, submit your blog to social bookmarking websites, generate a sitemap and submit it to search engines (mainly Google), target certain unsaturated keywords (even though Internet marketing is a very saturated market, hence this forum we're currently posting on), etc. Can't give a whole lesson on marketing, would take all day. But of course, for more information on marketing, be sure to visit your blog.
Haha!!!! I knew someone would say something like that. Yeah I know, its lame. I'm new to this and i'm in my trial and error stage right now. Sorry for looking like such a noob!
I think one of the problems you'll have if you want to market your blog on social bookmark/news sites is that there is no remarkable content on your blog at the moment. For example, your post "Why Design Matters" doesn't have any images. You could do follow up post with pictures to "101 of the Most Unique Designs on the Web" and then critique when the designs were implemented correctly. Include screen captures of each design. If you want to get picked up by Digg/Stumbleupon etc. then you're going to need to content that at least looks like it took some time to create. I'd also suggest putting your blog on your own domain. There is a certain "domain snobbery" if you don't own your own domain. You have a post called "Why Buy a Domain Name?", so follow your own advice here. Again, you could follow up this post with something like "The 25 Most Expensive Domain Names Ever". You need to think of a way to stand out from all the other internet marketing blogs out there. Also, think about what you want from your blog and the subsequent traffic. It's pointless having lots of traffic if they don't convert. It doesn't matter if you want them to convert to RSS subscribers or buy a product, think about your aims for each blog post. For example, if you want RSS readers then create a series that will make people want to come back. Social news and bookmarking is great for traffic, but you'll need something that's worth people's time to vote for your content.
