Backlinks worked too fast?

    i actually have mine work in just one day... i think, GoogleBot now is updating its indexing activity more often than before...

    Google's robot can add pages and links in under an hour, just depends on how frequently the site with the link is crawled.

    In my experience a great way to get your site crawled a lot is to make a stupid linkbait photo (motivational poster or the like) and throw it on StumbleUpon. The bots won't leave you alone.

    Another tip is to ping Google et all with the URLs of your new links, so you make sure they get counted ASAP :)

    It seems the general consensus, and my experience, that the Google index is continuously updated. Although, there do still seem to be periodic larger shifts. And yes, the toolbar's PR isn't updated frequently enough to really mean anything.
