    What do you mean by footer text... do you mean you want to add signature to your posts... well for that you have to get to some decent quality posts under your belt ... i guess its 30+ or so... that is the number of post when you get to add your signature...

    Thanks for the replies, I found what I needed on the FAQ page.

    "Signatures and live links within posts are not available to users until they have been a member at least 7 days, have positive (green) reputation and have at least 10 posts."
