I am living in rural area where there are not so many people around. I just found out that there are 4 dogs in an abandon apartments not so far from my house. There is no way i can find the owner. THEY MUST BE ABANDONED.

Actually I am serious. I have more compassion for animals then humans. Animals can't defend themselves in that situation. They were domesticated animals they weren't wild they don't know how to survive in the wild.

I'm a complicated person. I despise people but I will save them from death and I will save their property if possible as well.

They should at least have done the right thing by leaving them in an animal shelter or contact an agency that will take care of the animals if they are no longer able to.

For my side there is enough laws protecting animals, especially native species. Had a possum living on our roof top chewing the wood of our roof. By law, we cant chase it out. We cannot move it away too far off and definitely can't harm it. Have to spend $600 building a little hole for it to use as a home.

I'm not sure where you are located wisdomtool but here in the states I would run it off and not get in any trouble. I could actually shoot it probably and would not hear a word about it. Personally I would only shoot a possum or raccoon if they looked rabid. If they are just running around I don't worry about them. I had to swerve to miss a possum about a week ago. If there had been oncoming traffic though then it would have been road kill. I don't want to run anything over but my life is worth more then their life when it comes to me crashing my car.

You are lucky, here in Australia possums have more rights than human beings, don't even need to pay me rent for that hole I build for it :(

Haven't check on kangaroo's rights, but possums definitely had quite good protection rights, and thank goodness it is a possum not a kangaroo living in my house :) . Don't want to find out what those kangaroos rights might be.....

I heard kangaroos were legal to hunt there that is why I asked. They must not have too many rights because you hear stories about people using them to box with. Why you would want to box something that is 200 pounds 6 foot tall and has razor sharp claws is beyond me but whatever floats their boat I reckon.

I dont like animals getting astrayed or abandoned.
Worst yet seeing them getting killed by the community claiming "those astrayed anmals are beasts and untamable in some countries. :(

People just abandon their animals because they are dumb and won't complaint to the authorities concerned. Every country has its own law for the animals and there are organizations like PETA, SPCA which will take up their rights. People committing mistakes should be punished suitably.

I think you were referring to the culling of kangaroos, this is still quite a controversial issue.

OK, there really is no nice or politically correct way of saying this, so I will just blurt it out. In Cambodia, I was told they eat dogs. The thought of that really gives me nightmares. I love dogs so much. But you will have them as pets, right?

In China and Korea too, I had a Korean classmate who was very indignant when anyone criticized Koreans for eating dog meat, he keep insisting those dogs were farmed and supposed to be eaten. Yucks.....

A lot of animals are left alone in the street...some of them are killed or die of starvation...they can't survive outside their homes:(
