I think if you have own domains will perform better than using free sub domain.

Using free host will make your proxy sites slow, better choose a popular host company if you don't wanna lose visitors.

 

yeah sure im doing the same
actually a free host cant hold 100 gig BDW a month
but well
i also have found some free ones to support my main host ,as some times i run out of BDW limit

 

not so good today with the traffic ... today is the worst day in more than a month ore more for my proxies

since now 1780 hits and forecast 2880 for today
not bad i think
didnt even promote them today
just sent 1 email to my proxy group users 37 hours ago

 

I have 1 proxy which gets a couple of dollars a day, and I have like 19 others that get less than $0.20 each. How could I earn more money from the rest?

 

But i have a question here: So how does proxy site owners make money, if the website gets blocked/banned every few days. They have to rebuild the traffic again when they start with another website which might take long again.

I make a nice amount with proxy sites. Yes proxy sites "can" get blocked after days but i think generally it takes about a week in each school to be banned and thats if the users visit the site daily. There are millions of people wanting proxy sites, which ever way you advertise the proxy site more than one school/work place will use it. After a while the proxy site will spread through word of mouth off line and online. I have found hundreds of websites that link to one of my proxy sites for free and with out me asking them to.
If you have your own strategies to gaining traffic then building a new proxy site can be easily succeeded.
I started another one last week and have had it up for 4 days with over 450 unique views. Over 100 uniques in direct traffic per day too.

I believe its all about researching and experimenting.

I am planning on making a TON of proxies so i want a resale account to start with until my income is enough for a dedicated server.

please check out KMK Proxy Hosting and I am sure some in here can give you feedback on it .. I also run proxies and flexible with server usage as long as you're not holding down or using 100% server resources.

 

By the way, it is obvious...but just want to make sure with the experienced proxy owners here.

weeknds, holidays (depending on country), summer all low traffic for proxies

 

Damn, so during the 3 months of summer you really won't be making much?

 

depends on your current status, usually ig goes down by 30-70% of traffic
and depend on that, thats how much you will be earning... so bascially better off to get proxy going after summer, gather some proffits during the school months and depending again on how much you eanr you can compensate the earned profit to summer hosting fees (with or no profit left over depending on prev profit as i said)
