I signed up for AdBrite full page ads just to see how much I could make, and now I got an offer for $50 CPM. I don't think I'm going to accept it, but at some price, I need to start accepting them. Full page ads are those annoying things that you go through on some sites where the whole page is an ad and theres a link that is like, click here to skip the ad. They only come up once a day for each unique visitor on AdBrite, to keep them from being too annoying. Nonetheless, I think they will make me lose some visitors, so I would need a really high offer to accept. How much do you think is the min I should accept?
As a visitor i absolutely hate those types of ads, sometimes they mess up firefox and close it, other times they dont cause an error but they delay things, they are quite intrusive, i can fully appreciate your need to make money, just as a visitor to a site with them they can be off putting. I often leave a site with those ads quickly, unless the site has something that i cant resist. If you do accept to go with them go higher i would say, to compensate yourself on any loss of visitors that return less or never again.
Try all other forms of monetization first. As pipes said, these types of ads are extremely annoying to the user. I know i've left more than one website because after every other link i'd have to wait 10 seconds while the interstitial loads.
dont..every1 hates those ones..u'll turn down a lot of valuable visitors..it causes more harm than anythin gud at all..
It looks unanimous, these types of ads are very annoying and you will lose a lot of your visitors as well as repeat traffic. The $50 wouldnt be worth it to me. You were very wise to ask before going ahead with that.
Yes, I know they are annoying, but at some point, the cost from the ad outweighs the cost from lost visitors. $50 is too low, but $100? $200?
Well how much do you value each unique visitor and what is the chance that they'd get turned away. If I get a full page AD each day I will be extremely put off of your website. I'd need to be paid a hell of a lot but would probably try and monetize in other ways.
