What is the Best Adsense 'Unit'

    Over the years I have sued a lot of different Ad types and a lot of different ad formats. I have to admit a large square built into my text floating top right does seem to be my highest converting unit

    But then again I have had several other good investments, the banner size ads seem to convert better than leaderboard ads and so on.

    One thing I have really had trouble optimising however is the side bar. Getting teh right side of the page, right distance from the top, right relation to the content and so forth really does seem to be a nightmare!

    So what are your favorite adsense units and their positions?

    Either a large square or a leaderboard seems to work the best for me :)

    I tried 4 different combination for 3 days each.

    336x280 -------- 300x250
    300x250 -------- 336x280
    300x250 -------- 300x250
    336x280 -------- 336x280

    The winner was 300x250 -------- 300x250 .

    Its nice to hear from someone who has actually tried the different combinations :p

    300 x 250 does seem like a good option, not quite so invasive but still noticable.

    I didnt have much luck with the leaderboard, I have massively increased my click throughs by using the 470 banner inline with my news posts.

    I have success with the ad formats 300*250 and 336*280.
    I use mostly these sizes throughout the pages. Wish u all the best :)

    Tried leaderboard again, still ain't working too well consideringhow well my other ad units again.

    Has anyone else tried putting inline square posts halfway down each post with a wrap around on the left or right?

    It looks interesting but I would beinterested to know if anyone is using it successfuly.

    Also with the box ads are people using text, image or both?

    Im really finding tis content dependant, tech is converting well with text, games is converting well with images. Is anyone else finding similar?
