Is this worth? Can someone plz help me out?
Just curious, what drives you to Godaddy VPS? IMO, I have not used their VPS services before but I've read many bad reviews on them, one of which is: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=664730 Good luck!
I don't think Godaddy is the way to go for anything hosting related. They may be good with domains, but aren't so good with the hosting. Also, I don't recommend you go VPS, Why? Because they can kick you off too for using too much CPU/RAM etc etc. And finally, 256MB RAM won't support 2500 hits a day, and even if it does, it'll be awfully slow I don't know if your looking for offers, but if you are, I can offer you a dedicated server for $10 more than that with 80GB hard drive, 1TB bandwidth etc, just PM me if you would like more info
I agree with you on Godaddy and the 256MB RAM that is too less As for kicking off by using too much CPU/RAM, I think this URL is helpful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtualization#Resource_virtualization Cheers.
Yep, but most host's offer Burst RAM (As per the offer above) Use too much of your burst RAM at a certain time and they kick you off It happened to me once
It's awful that you did not fight for your own consumer's right. Ideally speaking, a VPS provider will not suspend/terminate you because you are "overusing" resources like Burstable RAM. The way Burstable RAM works is when the host node has spare resources available, you can burst to that amount of RAM within a time frame. You will do no harm to the VPS provider because if the situation persists, all you see in your user_beancounters is all the failcnts and you will have to upgrade the VPS plan in order to get rid of these error figures and to allow your box to run smoother. Terminating a VPS client for holding too much Burstable RAM is indeed a new and fresh story to me. Mind sharing that infamous company's name with all of us here? Cheers.
Check out our Linux VPS plans which start at $9.99. You can get a decent VPS with 384MB RAM (burstable to 768MB) with 10GB space and 300GB b/w for $29.99
