Established PR5 Extreme Sports Site Listed in Yahoo Directory

After much consideration I have decided to sell this site. I have not really had the time to bring it to its full potential, which I think is substantial.

I had high hopes when I started this site and spent a lot of time and some development money getting it up. Unfortunately, I realize that I do not have the time to bring it up to speed. This could be a great project for someone with an interest or some time to refine the content.

The site runs on PHPNuke. There are two custom coded modules/blocks for the videos and the athlete profiles. The custom code is basically the same just tweaked for each module/block. The admin section of the code allows you to easily add content and is accessible directly from the phpnuke control panel. Also custom modification to the weblinks module. This code will read html from a text file and add that to a particular category page. I use it to add static links to the directory. Example, the cid for the Health and Nutrition topic is 28. I have a text file called 28.txt in the module directory with the featured links infomation in html format. The code pulls it in for display on the page. this will work with any topic.

I just set up this code and started a text link program to sell static links for $5 each. I sold 7 in the last few weeks. The new owner will be able to continue this program (transferring my account) and it should yield decent revenue. Other revenue includes a $15 per month text link sale under sponsors. Many more could be sold with the Pagerank and indxed pages. I just added adsense to the main area and the articles area (made $.50 today) previously only had it under sponsors and made a buck or two a month. Revenue could be much better if it was optimized.

Links: The new owner will have to keep up the games link under sponsors for one month but could probably arrange to transfer the $15 per month subscription to them. You will also have to keep the featured links in the directory for one month. Although if you want to take over the text link program you must keep the existing links up. I would also leave the myspace link as his site brings in good traffic.

I will host the site for the new owner for two months. You can continue hosting with me if you want for $6.00 per month.
