Yes, thats right. I am in need of $30,000 for my new business. How should I go about getting it? I am a college student so a loan is probably out of the question. Any ideas?

Here's a good start ... prosper.com ... but if you can wait, kytaan.com is soon coming onto the scene ... if all else fails, try posting your concept to several investors ... I am and know many who may be interested in an array of ideas. Do you have a business plan? If not, ... I suggest you get one ... if you don't know how to write one, I can help you with that ... of course, there would be a marginal fee/percentage of the idea.

Turn to your family and ask them for a loan. They are probably the easiest to deal with as well.

Dude, you said you're a college student. What's your major.

You need 30k, so here's my initial thought process.
    +Business Plan
    +Product Proposal
    +Demo Product/Process
    +Sell yourself to investors.

If you can come up with a decent business plan and proposal you should at least be able to get some money to springboard your projects.
It's not a matter of needing money. If you can come up with a well thought out, well formulated proposal you should be able to get something from interested parties.

Get a few part time jobs. You could make that in 1 year if you had a day job and a night job.

I'd definately make a business plan and a budget with all of your plans, goals, and ideas. Then present your business plan to different outlets, forums, people, and investors. If it's a good idea, then people will invest in it.

I've also heard good things about prosper.com

A good business plan & presentation can even get you a loan at a bank let alone investors..

Sell what you don't need, pick up an extra job...

Also, develop a sound business plan. There are plenty of resources online to help you create one, and I have a great outline if you're interested. You're more likely to get money from relatives if they see you're serious about your endeavor!

Start a blog in a high paying niche and then run affiliate ads and adsense.

    Sorry. Could not help myself.

Best advice: get a job and save up to fund yourself. Not having to answer to an investor or family will give you the freedom to take the business any and every direction you see fit.

    Good luck!
