Hi, because Google only does contextual ads I'm thinking of replacing them with referal ads. Has anyone done the same? How do they compare?

Contextual ads usually pay per click only, referrals most of the time require some type of conversion...A sale, registering etc etc.
    I would use both probably.

Try both and see what works. I would say Referral ads works better for narrow focus sites because you get more focused users that are more likely to take actions.

    Here's how I do it...

I have a site that I review stuff... new about the industry, etc... that has content ads.
then, under the various manufacturers pages with info about them and pages for thier products, I have referal ads (OK, honestly, I am still building that section)...
but to me, I think it depends on the page that you're putting the stuff on... and shouldn't be a "per site" thing.

When I used AdSense, I had more luck (more $$$!) with contextual ads than I did with referrals.

I use both but the referral ads perform very poor from my side. You think and decide which one to choose?
