I know everyone has had some type of success with marketing if not lets help the less fortune every post your tip three marketing tips!! My top 3 methods would be 1. Solo Ads 2. Social Bookmarking 3. Article Marketing
Great thread, here's my tips. 1. Hard work; no such thing as easy free money. 2. Never stop learning; pay attention to the experts and fill your head with knowledge and wisdom on the subject. 3. Do something you have a passion for; if you dislike what you're doing you will fail.
If you create a value for the visitors your site get a lot of traffic sooner or later. You will be surprised what a few good articles with a nice site design and unique features could do. Natural linking is the way to go. Social Bookmarking Sites could be good for some instant traffic though.
In no specific order.... 1) Analyze your competitors and do it better 2) Work on adding quality links every day 3) Quality fresh content added as often as possible 4) Viral marketing using quality freebies 5) Build trust with your visitors 6) Build a List, work it without overdoing the promotions in the emails. People don't want to see something else they need to buy in every email you send them. Give them useful info in the emails, and don't try and get them to buy something with every email you send and you'll find more people read the emails and do purchase when you do recommend something. 7) Make set work hours to work online and accomplish as much as you can during that time. Sorry, I couldn't limit this to only three things and I could go on for at least 5 or 6 more points, lol Jacob Treant
Heres basically all i use Viral Marketing : I own arcades. Generally if i put up a good game. Word spreads and people actually social bookmark it themselves. Also tell friends and post on forums. All my visitor spikes have been from people posting on big forums by themselves. Social Bookmarking : I love stumbleupon. ANd stumbleupon loves me. If you have good content you just need to get the ball rolling (Stumbleudon or another automated stumbling site) and then if its somethign awesome people do give it the thumbs up Youtube SPamming: This really works. Although i dont use it much anymore. To get started sometimes it really is handy. Depending on what kind of site. If you can turn your comments into more questions and less spammy. It works like a charm. Ive even had people PM me on youtube answering my question not knowing that it was spam. Just my two cents

1. SEO 2. YouTube video marketing -> works only in some niches and if you can provide the videos about one topic faster than your competitors. 3. Adwords This is about marketing tips, isn't it? So I think "content" is not the answer. Content and viral marketing is not a marketing tip, everyone knows good content is king. So my answer is these three. SMO works good but they are kind of traffic which do not convert.
1. Quality content (it's amazing how many links a quality article generates) 2. Social Networking 3. Article writing
