Let's say that I have a website counting 100 words. How many keywords am I allowed to add? And if I have two word keyords (phrase)? Thanks!
Keyword density is useless and something that can have a "negative" effect. Review the below article. http://www.e-marketing-news.co.uk/Mar05/garcia.html - The Keyword Density of Non-Sense I personally back this article.
Anytime boss, lets see how many useless posts about KD pop-up after that article, and you'll see the articles entire point in action.
Your keyword density should be between 3% and 7% for the perposes of seo but it is more important to make your content sound good for your audince as this will help you retain visitors, there is no point in having a high ranking lots of traffic but no returning visitors and no customers!
See, someone already trying to name a percentage.... Flexin, read the article before you post next time, you'll see how the OP thanked me, you will to.
If you also read the rest of my post i point out that it's more important to make your content relevent to your customer and not to be overly worried about desity but people are always after a number and i'm just trying to give an idea of what works for me.
Flexin, I agree with you with the fact that a good content attracts people, but my website just offers a service. That is needed once or twice by my visitors. Of course, I try to extend my website to bring people back for a quality content... but right now, all the SEO for me seems to be: backlinks, a lot of them
I don't measure the density of keywords in a site. I just make sure that content is readable and looks natural content for visitors not for SE.
I suggest you don't worry about keyword density. A page of my site with 5000+ words is ranked 1st on MSN for keyword, and this keyword appear in page content only twice
Add your keyword where it fits perfectly with your site content.Do not stuff your site content with too much keywords. Must add keyword in heading.
