Url's should always have keywords in to help with your rankings for relevant phrases. Other things to consider are title tags meta data and then links, links, links these are the key to success.
The top kw you are trying to target should be in your url, it sure will help but you can only target a few phases per url

It should first article title then domain. and in url domain/category/articletitle it will help you much to get well ranked and indexed.
