Alive Directory Banned by Google ?

it is penalized, not banned.

 

I always feel web directories have the risk of getting slapped...I think Article Directories are much better than this

the PR still appears to be 0.

 

So, it's okay to "brag" your directories when you get, say, authority from google... but it's stupid and childish to ask what we will get when it's now PR 0 and penalized by google?

Let's get this straight, I've never bragged of anything. I happen to have the same opinion as you, that many bragged of PR when they had it and now play it down if because they don't. What I'm bothered about is people enjoying another's demise. So what if alivedirectory brought in on themselves, its OLD news.

thread started has to be the stupidest idiot I have seen, first of all chris (alivedirectory.com) is not selling freaking PR, he is selling listings two very different things. Now if you took some time to do some research like a smart person you would understand why he charges what he does and still gets daily submissions, instead you came on and proved what you are.

 

Oh man, that's the one. Haven't heard that term since the 90s though.

 

Another thought, not only is owning a directory not selling PR - proven by the fact Google have their own directory, and actively promote the listings of the ODP and (paid!) Yahoo directory, yet these three mentioned directories all have PR and haven't been penalised.

Paying for a link is paying for a review of your site, if the directory owner feels your site is of high enough quality, then you will be listed in their directory - not buying a link outright. Google are like McDonald's in some aspects. I walk in, ask for a Big Mac and Coke - they give me a (usually!) hot Bic Mac, with garnish, in a wrapper, placed inside a paper bag, with Coke in a plastic cup. I didn't ask for it to be hot, I didn't ask for garnish. Nor did I ask for the wrapper, bag or my Coke to be in a cup. In this instance, Google are like McDonald's in that they are only making assumptions based on what they think is correct. As we all know, in this particular case, Google got it wrong. Let it be.

Finally, if placing links on a website after being paid to ensure the site deserved the link by reviewing the site in question, why aren't Google punishing themselves? Afterall - do you really think Google's network of sites isn't a mass PPPP [Pay-Per-PageRanked-Post] system?

 

This is the reason I just can't grasp why the OP even started this. Alivedirectory doesn't have PR to sell! Doh!

Google give penalty to most of sites who sell textlink.

 

not one person would say you can't say your view, I say mine. My view is there was no need for you to be so obvious that you were happy alivedirectory got punished. I wasn't sad they got what they deserved but at some point we have to leave it go.

There's not a chance people are going to pay the fees they charge either, they'd be mad to. But again, if they do then that's more fool them.

Don't post such things if you think your going to get a smooth ride, your not, expect people to go after you just like you went after alivedirectory. They've been sent to Jail, they've been released, not stop playing parole officer and let them get on with rebuilding any life they have in peace.

don't worry google is finding people who is selling High PR link, so be in fear may be you will also got affected.
