Need help promoting a game site

Well I thought having some money to spend would help my game forum site grow faster, but its not quite working.

I need some ideas on how to market and get the site out there to get new people coming through that will actually sign up.

Any ideas whether they cost $100 or are free would be really appreciated, I really want this site to take off!

Hm.. maybe you can do this idea. What about you create articles about your game forum and then submit it to Ezine Articles (EzineArticles.com). Make sure you include your website's link in the article to get the readers go to your website. Your Cost = F*ree

Forum News, Forum SEO and Forum Tech. Read all of those categories. That guy is smart and a forum master.

 

there are usually a lot of gaming related topsites about, they may be worth joining, or post on gaming forums
