I'm about to break $700 for the month, and I'm pretty stoked. (all on clickbank) I just started in this IM stuff 5 weeks ago.

you can promote anything, if use buy word on ad. That's what I learn recently!

care to share what lessons you learned from your big "cat food" ringtone success that you applied to your new campaigns? You started this thread saying you tried for a long time and tried dozens and dozens of campaigns before with only limited success. There must have been something different this time!

Do you think the estimated CPC that you get from Google's keyword tool is a good estimate? What about the traffic estimate?

I'm wondering since I have so many niches to test but, if I have to create a whole new campaign for each niche it's going to take a while. Is this what you did?

You also seem to put an emphasis on how important those 1 1/2 steps are. So would I just be wasting time if I was to test niches with:

catfood page---> landing page ---> ---->offer

I stayed up for hours and read this entire thread from page 1 and took a bunch of notes. Even if I can't get this to work atleast I understand how Google's content network works.

You seem to explain everything and basically spell it out, I'm not really sure what those 1 1/2 steps could be. It seems from here it's all trial and error.

Need to find adgroups with high traffic and low bids, I would also need to think of how to speak to the customer and "funnel" them from surfer mode to buyer. This is where I'll have to take a look at the ringtones catalog. Will you share who your AM is? Should I PM you? I asked my AM for a catalog as you advised and he gave me a link to the offer's website with artists listed. Although, I did not get an Excel workbook as you explained. However, I e-mailed him again tonight.

One part that I was confused about was, you mentioned to somebody about creating an ad that says, "Buy Cat Food" so they're in buyer mode but, you also mentioned to not actually sell cat food. So, wouldn't that be kind of odd when they get to the webpage and there isn't any cat food for sale? Or you're just relying on the huge amount of traffic + low bids = low conversions + scaling?

congrats on your continued success - i've had to pause my campaigns since i'm going out of town for a week. Company I work for requires the IT dept to perform disaster recovery scenarios, so i'll be in the woods playing with big satellites and expensive servers for a week.

So I lost $70, which isn't terrible, but not good Going to pause the campaign until I get back and see what I can do to improve my numbers.

pull the adsense off your pages!! - MAJOR traffic leakage.

 

Alright, I will, but it definitely wasn't plastered all over the place. I placed one 328x200 (or whatever size) many many many lines below the "Claim ringtones" link, the driving mechanism to the ringtones landing page.

ugh i wish i got 7 cpc! My ROI would be like 30x haha.

 

If you were actually seeing clicks on the adsense block, it would make more sense to replace it with another call to action.

 

Don't have IRC (used to hang out on mIRC a lot, those were the days....)

But yea, I'll double-emphasize my last point: get rid of Adsense.

wow 6000+ clicks? How can you get that many clicks unless it is music, myspace related?

 

Mar 15th - Mar 27th. I know that's not a long period of time, but I'm going out of town for a week on Sunday and can't afford to leave it running unattended. Once I return I'll reevaluate everything and restart the campaign; I'm pretty sure there's some potential to make some cash if I only lost $70 in the time frame mentioned above.
