does yahoo use same technology as google?

how does yahoo rank websites in their search results?
i have a good understadning of how google ranks them just wondering what process yahoo! uses or if its the exact same way?

 

no it is not yahoo has dumb technology where google has advanced

 

The algorithms are very different, and google's is better. That is why Google managed to attract so many users from other search engines during the years.

Both use different Algos.

 

since they are diff companies....their algo is different. But the basic principles will remain the same. Usually if you rank well in google, you should rank well on the rest.

 

Each companies algorithms are top secret so it's highly unlikely they will be the same as evidenced by more relevant results coming from Google.

 

yahoo has a different algorithm. Its not same as google.

 

How does yahoo rank websites? Nobody knows. But i think it is safe to assume that Yahoo has "lower standards" in rankings sites. That's why ranking in Yahoo isn't really that much of an accomplishment (although it helps on your traffic).

On a note, we can see that Yahoo counts backlinks, easier and faster than Google.

both their algo are different, significantly... if they used the same thing, wouldnt the result be the same for both of em for a similar term? D'oh!

 

Every SE has there own algorithms.
So, Google Yahoo and other Search Engine implement there own algorithms. Google update there algorithms frequently so Google get more priority.
